Children Mental Health Week

This week, we have been marking Children’s Mental Health Week with activities inspired by this year’s theme “This is my place.”

Our wellbeing reps led an inspiring assembly on belonging, and pupils explored the theme through wellbeing lessons, collaborative art, and activities in the Wellbeing Hub. A 750‑piece puzzle in the library proved especially popular, reminding us that every piece has its place! We rounded off the week with a brilliant House Music competition — a wonderful celebration of teamwork. Huge thanks to our wellbeing reps for their energy and ideas.

In addition, to support Parent Mental Health Day, we recently welcomed Ceri from West Kent Mind for an engaging workshop on mental health. The session shared practical strategies for managing stress and supporting children with their feelings, with one parent describing it as “really important and beneficial… the speaker was excellent!”

Wellbeing is at the heart of our school, and it’s been fantastic to have activities that highlight the importance of a sense of belonging for everyone in our community.
