Moving to Sevenoaks

Considering relocating?

Yet again, in March 2024, The Sunday Times survey ranked Sevenoaks as one of the Best Places To Live in Britain and the No 1 destination for those leaving London.  We certainly know that it’s a very special place.

We have lots of green space including beautiful Knole Park with its deer and yet are just 25 minutes by train from London. We are just beyond the M25 within easy reach of neighbouring towns of Royal Tunbridge Wells and Tonbridge, with Gatwick Airport just 35 minutes away and 40 minutes from the coast.

Sevenoaks town centre is always a hive of activity, with a number of shops (chain and independent), cafes and restaurants.  There is a buzz of local seasonal events including Sevenoaks Fireworks Night, and The Stag Theatre provides live music, comedy nights, stage productions and film screenings.

The market on Saturday mornings sees the vibrant town at its best with lots of fresh produce from local growers alongside artisan stalls.

Our school community is very diverse with a number of nationalities and a number of families who have relocated, often from London or other cities.

“This half term has exceeded my expectations in terms of how well the girls have fitted in, how friendly and welcoming everyone has been and the personal attention the girls have received. The Prep (as well as my Mum!) was a key driver in our move to Sevenoaks and we have no doubts we made the right decision.  We really are very grateful for how accommodating you were with our complicated set up.” New parent
