Campfire Drumming

The sounds of djembe drums echoed through the forest as our Year 1 children gathered around the campfire for a magical storytelling session with music teacher Mr Beharrell. The children were captivated as he told the tale of a clever fox and his woodland friends and even more excited to bring the story to life using their drums!

They explored rhythm through some call and response pattern games and learned to play different beat patterns, using their instruments to create sound effects that added drama and excitement to every twist in the tale.

A huge thank you to Mr Beharrell for sharing his drumming talents and bringing the magic of music to our outdoor adventure session.
