Our school hall twinkled with fairy lights, setting the perfect scene for a memorable Burns Night celebration.
The evening began with a champagne reception, followed by a delicious three-course dinner, featuring the classic haggis, neeps and tatties prepared to perfection by our brilliant school catering team. The haggis was ceremoniously piped in, followed by the traditional blessing, eloquently delivered by a member of our school community.
Dance cards on every table were quickly filled and then the real fun began! The band struck up and the hall came alive with the Scottish reels. From the lively Flying Scotsman and the ever-popular Gay Gordons to the more intricate Eightsome Reel and an exuberant Strip the Willow, the dance floor was a blur of twirling, laughter and energetic moves!
A huge thank you to the Burns Night team and everyone who made the evening such a success. It was a night filled with fantastic company, fun and a whole lot of Scottish spirit!
