Our annual cricket day began with the highly anticipated Year 8 vs Parents match, a tradition which is always hotly contested. This year, it was a narrow loss for the Year 8s as the parents claimed the victors’ trophy.
Following that, there was a Kwik Cricket tournament for the younger children, where they took part in a series of enjoyable softball matches within their age groups and it was brilliant to see their enthusiasm and love for the game shine through. The day concluded with an exciting match between mixed staff and parent teams. It was another close battle with both sides displaying impressive skills and determination. Spectacular fours and sixes lit up the field, with one parent astonishing everyone by hitting a six beyond the car park!
The plentiful supply of sausages, ice creams and refreshments added to the enjoyment of day. It was wonderful to see The Prep community come together as parents, staff and children of all ages enjoyed a fun day.
