On Monday, we had the pleasure of hosting Dr Barney Davies, Director of Science at @brightoncollegeuk, at The Prep. He delivered the second instalment of our engaging lecture series for Years 7&8, exploring ‘The Secret Life of Birds’.
From the mesmerising murmuration of starlings to the peculiar worm dance of herring gulls, he delved into topics such as the flight patterns of the fourth largest eagle in the world and the parasitic behaviour of cuckoos, keeping our pupils captivated with his insights into the intriguing behaviours of various bird species.
Our lecture series aims to enhance the educational journey of our senior pupils by providing them with new and inspirational learning experiences. Thank you Dr Barney Davies for sparking curiosity and inspiring our Years 7&8 pupils!
