On Friday we hosted the annual Culley Cup Rugby 7s in conditions which were not usually associated with the fast, free flowing game of 7s. It was touch and go on whether we would be able to proceed but we persevered with 6 schools competing in a round robin format with back-to-back games.
All schools played with incredible spirit and sportsmanship, with a superb level of skill on show despite the tough conditions. The players were grateful for the opportunity to compete especially after a season so impacted by the weather.
The tournament was a huge success, it typified Mr Culley’s values and was a truly fitting spectacle and a great way to end the season. Thank you to all those who took part and braved the mud!
