Grandparents Day

We were able to bring back one of the most special days in our school calendar this year, Grandparents Day which is always greatly enjoyed by everybody and a lovely opportunity for Grandparents to visit the school, meet the teachers and view their grandchildren’s work.

Grandparents were invited to join in a special assembly where the children sang their hearts out to all our visitors, singing our very special Grandparents Song, written by Mrs Billingham, as well as the more traditional song, When a Knight Won his Spurs, and ending with our School Song.  With nearly 150 visitors the hall was buzzing with excitement.

Afterwards the children eagerly showed their Grandparents around their classrooms and sat down and chatted them through their workbooks and artworks on the wall.  It was a beautiful day and the children were also keen to show their Grandparents their favourite playtime activities in the Pre-Prep Gardens with some Grandparents taking the opportunity to join in!
