Wow what a week of amazing performances we had from across the school. We began with our Pre-Prep performances starting with our Nursery and Kindergarten children who performed so confidently in their play ‘Croak!’ and it was super to see the smiles on their faces. This was followed by Reception who sprang into action with their farmyard and changing seasons themed production of ‘Hats Off!’, the pigs stole the show with their brilliant dancing and it was amazing to see everyone joining in. Year 1 then took us zooming into space as we travelled back in time to relive the Apollo 11 mission and their singing and acting really was out of this world. Finally, the afternoon ended with Year 2 who stole the show with their fantastic version of ‘The Queen’s Knickers!’.
Year 3 then impressed the audience with their WW2 themed play ‘Archibald’s War’ which told the story of a group of evacuees, it was packed full of show stopping songs including ‘Those Jitterbug Yanks’ and ‘Hold the Train’ and all the children performed and sang brilliantly. This was shortly followed by Year 4’s fantastic performance of ‘What a Knight’, the play followed the comical journey of how Watt (a knight in training) and Alice (King Arthur’s scatty daughter) saved the day against the Black Knight and restored peace for King Arthur and the whole of Camelot. The children were in fine voice and it was greatly enjoyed by all.
We are very proud of everyone involved who had worked incredibly hard and put on spectacular shows.
