ADMISSION CHARGES

Registration Fee: £100 (inclusive of VAT) and is non refundable.

Deposit: £750*

*The deposit will be payable when the parents accept the offer of a place. The deposit will be repaid by means of a credit without interest to the final payment of fees or other sums due to the School.

FEES 2025/2026

FEE SCHEDULE EFFECTIVE FROM 1st September 2025 (including compulsory insurance):

Nursery and Kindergarten fees do not attract VAT and are £506* per session or £992 for a full day. (A session is attendance for one morning or afternoon, each week, during the term.) For the Autumn Term, minimum sessions are three morning sessions for Nursery, and for Kindergarten 4 morning sessions.

*If a child attends for 10 sessions each week, the charge for the term is £4,748.

YEARS 1 and 2: (per term) £5,860
YEARS 3 to 8: (per term) £7,112

We will be charging separately for lunch, for Reception through to Year 8, at a termly amount of £317 per term (which is exempt from VAT).

There are occasional extra activities which incur costs.  These will be charged on an “as and when” basis and we will seek prior written permission from the bill payer.

PAYMENT PLAN

The school has linked up with School Fee Plan to offer parents the option to pay school fees monthly via Direct Debit rather than paying a lump sum each term.  There is currently no extra cost to parents to pay this way, please click on the logo to find out more.

BURSARIES

The School offers means-tested bursaries which are dealt with confidentially by our Bursar, Andrew Hodgkin.  These are in place to assist families who otherwise would not be able to consider a Sevenoaks Prep education.  Mr Hodgkin can be contacted via email to bursar@theprep.org.uk or by telephone on 01732 762336.

CHILDCARE VOUCHERS

The school is happy to accept Child Care Voucher payments for fees and after school clubs where appropriate.

What are the school fees at The Prep?

Fees from September 2025 (per term and inclusive of VAT):

  • Reception: £5,096
  • Years 1–2: £5,860
  • Years 3–8: £7,112
  • Nursery/Kindergarten: £506 per session or £992 for a full day; 10 sessions weekly = £4,748 per term

How much does it cost to attend The Prep?

Annual fees (inclusive of VAT) and including lunch range from:

  • Reception: £16,239 per year
  • Years 1–2: £18,531 per year
  • Years 3–8: £22,287 per year

(based on 3 terms per year).

Nursery costs vary by sessions attended.

Are fees payable termly or annually?

Fees are charged termly – but parents may choose to pay monthly through the School Fee Plan Direct Debit option at no extra cost.

Are there additional costs beyond tuition fees?

Additional costs may include items such as Breakfast Club, Little Oaks (after school wraparound care for Pre-Prep children), teas for Prep children, SENCO support if required in addition to fees and lunch. There are occasional extra activities requiring prior written permission such as workshops or trips and these are billed on an “as and when” basis.

What is included in The Prep school fees?

Termly fees include tuition and compulsory insurance.  Lunch is compulsory but is charged separately along with extended care (Breakfast Club / Little Oaks) and SENCO support if required.

Does The Prep offer bursaries or financial assistance?

Yes. The Prep offers means tested bursaries managed confidentially by the Bursar. Families can contact the Bursar directly to discuss eligibility.

Do you have a sibling policy?

Yes.  Siblings are given priority of a place. Sibling discounts are not available at The Prep.

Do you accept childcare vouchers?

The school is happy to accept Child Care Voucher payments for pre-school charges and after school clubs where appropriate.

How is the school inspected and regulated

Sevenoaks Preparatory School is inspected under the Independent Schools Inspectorate framework and meets required standards across education, safeguarding, and pupil welfare.
