Our Year 8 students had an incredible time on their recent Bushcraft adventure, developing practical outdoor skills, tackling survival challenges and making the most of life in the wilderness.
From building shelters, lighting fires and practising wilderness first aid to trying archery and axe throwing, every day brought new challenges. Along the way, they filtered water using natural materials, made paracord friendship bracelets, watched a salmon being prepared in traditional bushcraft style and even put their survival skills to the test by rescuing their teachers from a simulated plane crash!
The fun continued into the evenings as pupils enjoyed camping under canvas. A particular highlight was spending one night sleeping in shelters they had built themselves, while another was taking part in Tribes Got Talent. We were incredibly proud of the resilience, enthusiasm and teamwork shown throughout the trip.
