What a fantastic achievement for our U9 football team, who lifted the trophy at Somerhill’s U9 Football Tournament on Saturday.
In a demanding league-format competition featuring eight matches across the morning, the boys showed tremendous commitment, teamwork and determination throughout. After two closely contested opening draws, they produced an outstanding run of performances, playing with confidence, discipline and energy, and winning five of their remaining six games.
Their impressive attacking play was matched by some excellent defending, with a number of clean sheets helping them secure enough points to finish top of the league and lift the trophy.
A huge congratulations to the entire squad on a well-deserved success and for representing The Prep so brilliantly and thank you to Somerhill for hosting such an enjoyable tournament.
